Lightbringers 4 – Puzzle
$35.00
This is a quilled paper piece built on an oval foundation, split into two halves that feel like opposing forces in conversation. On the left, warm flame-like ribbons in yellows, oranges, and pinks radiate outward like a sun or heartbeat. On the right, cool navy blue spirals create a calm, rolling pattern that mirrors the energy without matching it. The center is where things get interesting. Nested concentric rings in teal, lavender, and cream form the bridge between the two sides, dotted with tiny hand-placed beads and jeweled accents in deep blue and purple that catch light and add dimension.
Every curve here was rolled by hand from narrow strips of paper, then carefully positioned and glued to build up layers. The flame lines on the left took patience to get the organic wave just right. The spirals on the right required precision to keep them uniform and balanced. The center rings are stacked so they sit slightly off the surface, creating shadow and depth. Small purple dots, scattered across the bottom, act like an anchor point that ties the composition together.
What makes this piece work is the restraint. The warm and cool sides could fight, but instead they create rhythm. The geometric spirals could feel cold, but the hand-rolled quality and soft shadows keep it human. The beads and accents could overwhelm, but they're placed with intention, creating focal points rather than clutter. This is a piece about balance without being boring, about duality without demanding you choose a side.
As a 500-piece puzzle, the symmetry and pattern work in your favor. The radiating flame lines on one side create a natural sorting group, the spirals on the other a different pattern language. The nested center rings give you a clear target. Building it becomes a meditation on balance itself.
