Love – Notecard

$5.00
This is the word "Love" built entirely from narrow strips of paper, each one hand-rolled, shaped, and pinned into place. The letters stand up off the surface, casting soft shadows that shift depending on how the light hits them. Every letter is layered with the same rainbow progression: pink at the top, moving through orange, yellow, green, and blue at the bottom. The effect is clean and bright, but unmistakably handmade. What makes this piece work is the repetition of that color sequence across all four letters. The L curves elegantly with a stack of nested rainbow coils forming its spine. The O is a perfect oval made from concentric rings of color. The V and E follow the same logic, each letter a self-contained sculpture built from the same limited palette. The tiny anchor points holding everything in place are visible if you look close, which is exactly the point. This isn't hiding the process. It's celebrating it. I built this piece by working letter by letter, making sure each one had enough dimension and presence to read clearly from across the room. The rainbow runs through every single coil in the same order, which creates a visual rhythm that ties the whole thing together. It's a straightforward statement. No hidden meaning, no metaphor. Just the word "Love" made from color and paper and time. At 5x7, "Love" becomes a moment you hold in your hand. The design fills the front with bright color while leaving room inside for your own words. The detail in the rainbow sequence and layering holds up remarkably well at this smaller scale. It reads as a tiny print of the original rather than a generic card. Write something inside, send it along, or keep one on your desk.
